WELCOME!

Welcome to the resource space for teachers and administrators. Here teachers and administrators alike have easy access to Alabama COS standards, Alabama Item Specifications, 21st Century Skills, pacing guides, curriculum correlation documents, goal-setting sheets, assessment templates, instructional best practices, mastery/non-mastery support tips, data meeting tips, school culture tools, and much more!

I am available to present most of the information found on this wikispace. For example, I will be more than happy to come to your school to disaggregate data, discuss how to write a standard based assessment, present information on how to create a pacing guide, triage your school's culture, and much more. As Talladega County's Instructional Specialist of Secondary Education, I want to make myself available and useful to all seven high schools. Moreover, if you have an idea for my wikispace or would like for me to add something to it please let me know. My contact information is below.

CYCLE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The Cycle of Continuous Improvement is a guideline for effective instructional change which should be implemented throughout the school year. This cycle is the premise of the Continuous Improvement Residency Program (CIRP), in which I was trained over the past several years. The cycle's topics include focusing on data analysis; planning for student learning; implementing best practices; reflecting/monitoring data, student progress, and instruction; and adjusting instruction/intervention. If the cycle is implemented correctly and to fidelity and becomes the driving force behind the Continuous Improvement Plan, then it is highly probable that changes can and will occur within schools. If you have any questions about the cycle or your Continuous Improvement Plan, please contact me!
